Hello World

This is the new blog for the Columbia Initiative on Extreme Weather and Climate. We hope to feature semi-regular posts by a team of writers that will include some of our young scientists, postdoctoral research associates in particular, as well as myself and other senior people. We will comment on extreme weather events, summarize research coming out of Columbia on extreme weather and climate, and address anything else that seems relevant. For our first post, postdoc Allison Wing will describe the record-breaking snow Boston has experienced this winter.
