I am an NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. I study how convection and clouds in the tropics organize into clusters, mostly by using computer models of an idealized version of the tropical atmosphere. I also am working on applying my research on the physical mechanisms that help convection organize to the problem of tropical cyclone formation.
